 At highway, our mission is to bring the love of God alive in the hearts of children. We run an exciting programme where children come together to learn about the love of God and the Christian faith on a Sunday morning, running in parallel with the second half of our main meeting. Our hope is that the children feel a part of our church family here at Highway, and grow to love and follow Jesus.

PEBBLES - Creche
Creche is for babies and toddlers aged 0 – 3 years old and their carers.
It takes place during the message (sermon) part of our service in a room directly next to the main hall and you are welcome to take your child into the crèche during this time. There you find toys games and books that you and your child can play with. The message (sermon) is also relayed into the crèche, both visually and audibly, so that carers will not miss anything.
The church runs a rota of those who assist with the crèche so you will never be on your own. |

STEPPING STONES is for 3 – 5 year olds, when children are ready to be left; no longer needing one to one attention, and are ready and willing to join in with activities and group work with others.
It takes place from 11.15am to 12.00 noon every Sunday where a team of dedicated workers ensure that children enjoy discovering more about Jesus |

5 - 11 year olds - these groups are where children are more independent and are ready to work with others, and join in fully with activities and group work. We will provide a room where they can be taught Biblical truth, through relationships with a focus on life-skills for everyday Christian living.
We use ages here as a rough guide to stages of each child's development, recognising that each child is different. |

Little Fish
A parent/carer and baby/toddler group.
Every Thursday (during school term time)
10.00 – 11.30am
This group is open to all and provides a safe,
friendly environment for parents/cares
and young children in our area to meet together for
fun, friendship and conversation.
We make a small charge of £1 per family.

FUNKY FRIDAYS
Takes place on Friday in term time from 5.45 – 7.15pm.
Funky Fridays is a children’s club for 5 – 11 year olds, where the children can:
-
play games - mini pool, ice hockey, table football, parachute games, relay races and lots more;
-
watch films;
-
sing & dance;
-
work together in teams;
-
enjoy quizzes;
-
learn more about values.
Each term we take a different theme to base our funky fun around. So far we have themed sessions on:
Star Wars 1 – The Incredibles - Cars
So if you want some funky fun on Fridays please come along!

Does Highway have a child protection policy?
Yes we do! We place a very high value on caring for the children and young people who come into the church as well as those who work with them.
If you are a parent or carer of a child attending any activity at Highway you can request to see a copy of the policy via the church office.
